It seems that we are off and running. Welcome to one and all. This is your blog. This is your convictions spilled out on a blank canvas. I encourage all to write what they see, what they like, what they know. Maybe I can get us started.

Today I signed up for the Students for a Democratic Society. I just felt that in my life I have been passive for far too long. I have read about, and am currently studying the organization of old. It was created in the 60's as a passive/aggressive movement against Vietnam. I asked myself 'Are times really that much different?' It's just a different part of the world, but the song remains the same. We are still fighting for who in the hell knows what. In Vietnam it was a strip of land that no one wanted, now it's so Bush can get a fat paycheck from using his oil in Texas, and Cheney can get some off the top of Haliburton contracts. If you think it's not about oil, then climb out from under your rock and get a friggin newspaper. It's all right there in black and white. So I would encourage everyone to do what they can. Most of all I just give an encourage ment to get educated. Learn what you need to, to be able to form your own opinions. Find yourself something to believe in, and make a difference.
