What does "Good old Utah parents." mean? Does it mean "Good old Utah parents care about their daughter enough interfere in her life?"
I mean, obviously they went way too far, but do we really know the situation?
How old is the bride? How old is the groom? How long did they date? Is he a convicted child molester?
We don't know any of this. We just know that the parents took the girl shopping so that she couldn't make it to her wedding. And - like any normal daughter would - she's pressing charges.

Did I ever say I was the king? Yeah read three or four posts up. I don't see anything like that. Defend it all you want. If we are going to attack others for putting "Good Old Utah Parents" then by all means keep that open discussion going. While we are at it maybe we could close down all discussion period. I listen to everyone's post with an open mind, I can't recall ever attacking someone for their beliefs or what they had to post. I disagree at times, we all do, but to have him just rip her to shreads over one sentence, now that is a little much. But hey, who am I to judge. Read for yourself. This is not the first time, and I can't sit idely by and listen to him bash her anymore. If he wants to disagree that's one thing, but now it's gone to far, and it's not even her article.
He wasn't "ripping her" he was just raising points to think about the article. Someone sharing their opinion isn't an attack...well, unless the opinion is different from yours or lindseys than apparently it is.

As usual just because someone likes to look at things from a different perspective doesn't mean its directed at you. At least I know now that when Lindsey makes a post we aren't supposed to respond to it so this problem wont happen again.
I thought I'd add.. No one is pulverizing anyone they are just trying to share thier opinion, you can't say something like "good old utah parents" when half the people on here are good old utah parents and not expect to get a reaction. I think half the things posted on here are to get a reaction. If you cant take some pulverizing dont post or atleast post something "safe" I think Lizzen can take it or else she wouldnt post such controversial things. We could come back with the same thing saying you guys are pulverizing kay chizzle.

I accept that there are certain stereotypes and stereotypical people in Utah. I also realize that most of the people that are being targeted are members of my religion. People who, in general, have the same ideals and beliefs that I do.
Yes, I understand that the Utah comment was a joke. After a while, though, it just gets old.
I doubt that this post had intentions of "stirring the pot", so to speak, but most others do. Many of Lizzen's posts seem to be written with the intent or expectation of opposite views. I don't think that's a bad thing, but she can't seriously expect people not to respond accordingly.
As far as "The Unknown Soldier" and his posts attacking my "narrow mindedness", I consider the source and ignore them accordingly.

I'd seen this on the news. This article was very vague about the fact that they actually got married BEFORE they started expecting their first baby.
