Quote of the Day - Girls Rule and Boys Drool!
"Men should be barred from public office for 100 years in every part of the world. ... It would be a much kinder, gentler, more intelligently run world. The men have had millions of years where we've been running things. We've screwed it up hopelessly. Let's give it to the women."

Kinder and gentler.. yes. But rational and logic... no.
What does Ted Turner know?
If women were more intelligent.... why aren't they ruling the world?
I mean, it's not as if the world got together and decided "We will let men rule!"
Also, how is the world screwed up hopelessly? (And how would women fix the situation?)
Reminds me of a Tim Allen sketch:
"Men are pigs. Really! Men are pigs. Women, you agree with me? It's true, it's true! Men really are stinking pigs......... It's just too damn bad we own everything..."
Thanks for posting. It is a whole diffent look and thought to life. Hopefully it broadens the horizons.
Keep up the good work, no matter what anyone says!!!!!!
Windy, I do agree that the world maybe expects that men are the ones that should rule. My point is, though, that this was not a conscious decision that was made at one time.
Men are the rulers because in the beginning (whenever that was) they took the power. They probably took the power because they were bigger and stronger or some other neanderthal reason, but they took it - and haven't given it back.
If women are more intelligent - and better leaders - then they should be able to take the power back.
Personally, I don't like a generalization such as "men are this" or "women are that" (or "Utah is this", for that matter). There won't be a world changing change where women are all of a sudden in charge. It has already started, though. Margaret Thatcher. Angela Merkel. Heck, there are two possible women candidates for upcoming presidential elections: Condoleeeeezza and Hillary.
Well again, I too was generalizing. Most women think with thier emotions and THEN logic. Unless they learn otherwise, as I am trying to do.
I do agree that in this day of age, women can't win. If they leave thier children, if they don't work.. they can't win. I feel like I can't win, either way. If I am working, I feel guilty, if I stay at home, I feel guilty.
For me, it all goes back to the gospel. If you believe it (I do) I believe women were made to have children and raise them, men to provide. Thus why men rule most of the business world. Also to me.. I would feel more powerful and worthwhile if I raise great children and am THERE for THEM and make my husbands life wonderful. Moreso than if I am a CEO. Personal Preferance. I think its innate in women to want children and to want to be with children and that is why most of men rule the world. Wait until you have children and then see if your priorites are different. I am not saying they will be, I am just saying wait and see.
