For the very same reasons that Windy votes to end it all, I want to keep it going. I don't see everyone that much, so reading the blog keeps me in touch. I may be in the minority, but I love to read the blog everyday. I don't contribute as much as I'd like besides just comments, but I enjoy it.
I think that everyone just needs a healthy dose of understanding. If we would just hold our comments to one standard, everything would be fine: I will not post anything that I wouldn't say face-to-face. I don't routinely put down anyone's opinions over dinner, and you all don't normally use sarcasm that I don't pick up on. We've already experienced first-hand how the tone of your voice is not communicated through a monitor.
So we all need to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and expect the best from one another. "I'm not trying to offend you, but here's my DIFFERING opinion..." I think this responsibility falls on the reader as much as the writer, if not more so. Don't pass judgement so quickly. No one is trying to offend anyone.
If it is the collective will of the Bloggunity, then I will cease and desist.
Yeah I was out of it awhile ago.. maybe its immaturity or maybe its my ego but I dont feel like its an open way to express opinions with LOYAL friends and readers. I think its hurting friendships instead of building them.
