"Food" for thought....

3500 calories = 1 pound of fat

If you reduce your calorie intake or burn 500 calories a day for 1 week, you will lose 1 pound a week.

1 mile = 100 calorie expenditure

The American Academy of Sports Medicine recommends that you get 30 minutes of continuous exercise on most days of the week (at least 4 days).

It is healthy to lose 1-2 punds a week.

Exercise weight loss goals must be:
1) Attainable/ Realistic
2) Measureable
3) Fun!!!

You will lose more fat by combining your aerobic exercise with weight training.

My goal... for the whole world to see ...

I would like to lose 15 pounds (my baby weight is still hanging on:)) by July 27, 2006 (Baby Australia's 1st Birthday).

Anyone want to join in??? You can set your own individual goals.....

Is there a program for weight gain that doesn't involve protein shakes, and monotonous weight lifting?
